La Presqu'île de Giens
Giens Presqu’île, is situated in Hyères township. It is only 20 minutes away from the campsite. Take a breath of fresh air in a relaxing atmosphere : a good place to recharge in a natural place between sea and salt.
Giens was once an island, but it is now connected to the medieval city by a double tombolo. Salt marshes are managed by Toulon Provence Mediterranée (TPM), with the technical and scientific help of Port-Cros National Parc.
The road of Salt Mashes is an ideal place for a walk or a bike ride for a refreshing time ! On the Presqu’île, enjoy small traditional harbours lihe Madrague. On Western tombolo, you can go in for sliding sports, kite-surfing and surfing as l’Almanarre beach is exposed to Mistral wind.
Finally, la Tour Fondue is the boarding harbour to Iles d’Or, Porquerolles, Port Cros and Ile du Levant (a protected archipelago where you can only use bikes).
